Visions For Tomorrow Course

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) of Greater Kansas City (NAMI-KC) is sponsoring "VISIONS FOR TOMORROW" education classes.

Classes will be offered :
· • on Thursday nights, at Research Mental Health Center, 901 NE Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, Missouri, from 7-9pm, starting September 13th for 8 weeks.·
- - the instructors will be Frank & Tamara Bair

"VISIONS FOR TOMORROW" course is for caregivers of children with brain disorders. The course offers caregivers an opportunity to share mutual experiences and learn valuable lessons from one another.

This program consists of education on brain biology, coping and self care, problem management, organization of data and record keeping, advocacy, judicial and stigma issues, rehabilitation, recovery and transition. It covers the following diagnoses: ADD/ADHD, PDD/Autism, Tourette's disorder, Conduct disorder, Bipolar disorder, Depressive disorders, Eating disorders, Anxiety disorders and Schizophrenia.

"VISIONS FOR TOMORROW" is provided free of charge to families and direct primary caregivers. With brighter "VISIONS FOR TOMORROW" for their children, family members have hope and encouragement to live for today.
