Candlelight
Vigil

This event serves as
the kick-off for National Mental Illness Awareness Week.
The Candlelight Vigil
is one of thousands of such events that has been and will be held in
cities around the country all at the same time. Kansas City's Candlelight
Vigil has and will feature music, games, clowns, a prayer service, speakers,
and good food.
This year flashlights will be lit by all participants to signify respect
for persons with mental illness and their families.
This year the vigil will be held on October 7, 2001.
